The Idea Behind Minkas-Kachelofen

Our workshop cat, Minka, loves warm places, but climbing became increasingly difficult for her. Inspired by her favorite spot, the idea was born: a cat bed made of solid ceramic with electric heating. Today, cats everywhere enjoy the same cozy warmth that Minka was so thrilled with.

Function & Technology

The tiled ceramic is fired unglazed at 1100°C – extremely robust and durable. The heating element cast into the base warms the stove to a maximum of 48°C. The warmth is released gently, just like a real tiled stove. You can leave the bed switched on without hesitation, even during longer absences, as the heating element regulates itself automatically.

Energy Saver & Weatherproof

Thanks to energy-saving technology, continuous operation costs only about 5 cents per 24 hours. The waterproof electrical installation also allows for outdoor use – perfect for covered patios or conservatories.

Comfortable Lying Surface

A straw-filled cushion is included. The natural scent attracts cats, and the cushion filling can be flexibly adjusted. Thanks to the zipper, the cover is easily hand-washable. For more stability on the slightly roughened ceramic surface, Velcro straps can be used.
