The rope collar from the "Ahoi" collection is traditionally handcrafted in our Munich workshop. It combines robust cotton rope made from recycled organic cotton with vegetable-tanned leather, uniting sustainable materials with long-lasting functionality.
The cotton rope used is made from recycled organic cotton and is particularly tear-resistant and flexible. Originally developed for shipping, it offers the ideal combination of stability and a pleasant feel – perfect for everyday use.
The rope is complemented by vegetable-tanned cowhide , which is processed in a German tannery without chemical fixatives and finished with natural oils and waxes. Over time, the leather develops a unique patina.
Each rope collar is hand-dyed using vegan, plant-based textile dyes . This means that no two collars are alike – each piece is unique with its own individual color gradient. The rope collar is available in several color variations.
Hand washing with mild detergent is recommended.
Wipe with a dry cloth and, if necessary, treat with "Bee" leather care.
Should the colors fade over time, the rope collar can be re-dyed upon request.
Since our rope collars are hand-dyed with vegan dyes, slight color variations may occur. Natural cotton rope absorbs the dye differently, so it doesn't always penetrate to the core of the rope.
Due to different lighting conditions during product photography and varying screen settings, the displayed color may differ from the original.
Since this is a custom-made item , the dog collar is excluded from the right of return and exchange.
Due to the vegetable tanning process of the leather, slight color transfer may occur in rare cases at the beginning of use.
To ensure you and your dog get the most enjoyment from your custom-made or adjustable collar, it's important to measure correctly. We've created a measuring guide for our collars.
Please take a close look at these instructions.
| Size | neck circumference | Collar width |
|---|---|---|
| XS | 28 – 32 cm | 1.6 cm |
| S | 32 – 38 cm | 1.6 cm |
| M | 36 – 42 cm | 2.0 cm |
| L | 42 – 48 cm | 2.0 cm |
| XL | 48 – 54 cm | 2.0 cm |
| XXL | 54 – 60 cm | 2.0 cm |
Tip: If your dog is between two sizes or is still growing, We recommend the larger size.
Please use a flexible measuring tape to get the exact measurement. Ideally, have your dog sit. Then measure where the collar will later sit. Please make sure the measuring tape isn't too loose around your dog's neck.

A well-fitting collar is always the best and safest option. Since you're measuring the inner circumference, it doesn't matter whether it's a leather, Biothane, or nylon collar.
Close the collar in the appropriate hole and lay it in front of you. Then, using a measuring tape, measure the inside circumference of the collar. It is important that the measuring tape lies flat against the inside of the collar without any gaps.
