• Color loss due to sunlight does not affect the function.

• Used sponges can simply be disposed of as waste paper.

Extra tip: Werner's special syrup

Our neighbor Werner Wollandt, a beekeeper, makes a special syrup that is used for feeding the bees in autumn. Here's how to make it:

• Brew a cup of chamomile tea with two tea bags.
• Stir in about one-third of the amount of sugar.
• Let it cool down and then soak the sponge with it.

This syrup not only tastes particularly good to bees, but is also a simple nectar alternative for your insect station.
