Easy assembly and location selection

The nesting aids can be attached to trees, buildings, or pergolas. The location should be sunny, stable, and easily accessible for the insects. Additional rain protection is not necessary. Several wild bee houses can be hung decoratively next to each other.

Bee knowledge

In Germany, there are over 500 species of wild bees, more than 230 of which are on the Red List of Threatened Species. In spring, wild bees create several brood cells in the tubes and seal them with a natural mortar. After 4–10 days, the larvae hatch, feed on bee bread for 3–4 weeks, and pupate in the cocoon. In autumn, the young bees emerge but overwinter in the cocoon until they begin to fly.
