Hummelburg Granicium

A cozy home for busy bumblebees

Bumblebees are true natural talents: they pollinate plants even in cool or rainy weather, ensuring an abundance of blossoms and fruit in the garden. The Granicium bumblebee nesting box offers these important garden helpers a safe and comfortable home that optimally supports their natural needs.

Why bumblebees are indispensable

• They fly for up to 18 hours a day and visit up to 1000 flowers.
• Pollination even at low temperatures and in damp weather
• Support fruit and vegetable cultivation through reliable pollination

Thoughtful design for maximum safety

The bumblebee castle is not only pretty, but also functional:

• An internally installed access tube makes it difficult for pests such as wax moths to gain access.
• The blue-painted entrance specifically attracts bumblebees.
• Included nesting wool made of kapok natural fiber for up to 5 years

Robust, durable and weatherproof

Made from special Granicium® ceramic , the bumblebee nesting box combines stability and protection:

• Frost and UV resistant, resistant to seawater
• Impact and shock resistant, climate-regulating and mold-free
• Stores heat during the day and releases it at night
• Easy to clean and hygienic
• 15-year material warranty

Easy setup and maintenance

For successful colonization by bumblebees:

• Orient the entrance opening to the east
• Place directly on the garden soil; the base plate protects against moisture.
• Insert the supplied nesting wool and protect it from direct midday sun.
• Once established, do not change the location – bumblebees faithfully return.

Year-round use

In spring, the bumblebee moves into its nest, and in autumn the castle serves as a safe winter quarters for the young queens. This way, gardeners benefit from these industrious pollinators all year round.
